Maldicore was tasked with assessing the status of Allied Insurance Company of the Maldives Pvt Ltd Information Systems Department's compliance with the ITIL best practices. The objective of the assessment covered all ITIL processes and the function Service Desk, to uncover gaps that are open in meeting ITIL best practices and to improve and align IT Service of Allied to the level of adherence to ITIL standards.
Based on one month of assessment Maldicore produced the Recommendation Report with a Presentation explaining the actions and recommendations to senior management and relevant staff. The assessment was based on the CobiT framework, as it is the Maldicore's standard for the auditing of IT Organizations. This assessment was a stepping stone for Allied's desire to achieve a BS15000 / ISO20000 certification. In addition to recommendations, Maldicore provided various projects that can be carried out to kick start the ITIL framework
