Why should you consider Google workspace?
Google Workspace (formerly known as G Suite and Google Apps for Work) is one of the leading suites of office productivity apps available by Google.
Used by millions of businesses around the world, it allows you to create documents, spreadsheets and presentations; you get email and file storage too. Its cloud-based approach makes collaborating with your team on projects really easy, and you can access your files from any device and any location securely.
The future of work is here. COVID-19 has accelerated a shift in how organizations like yours get work done. Take this 2-minute assessment below to see where you’re at on the journey to the future of work, and get a free guide to help you take the next step.

5 reasons why you should consider Google Workspace
1. Collaboration
A cloud-native environment enables users to collaborate in real-time. An example is to imagine a meeting with tens of co-workers, each taking ten separate sets of notes in ten separate note-taking applications or Word documents saved locally to the machine. At the end of that meeting, ten people email the person appointed as scribe with their notes and that person aggregates everything and sends it back to the group. In Google Drive, people can be collaborating on a single document at the same time. There is no effort collision or redundant work because everyone can see what each other is contributing in real-time.
Similarly, the same would apply to presentations—no emailing multiple versions. Everyone collaborates with access to the same version.
2. Simplicity
Google Workspace is simple, intuitive, easy to use, and built for humans. 2.6 billion people worldwide are using/choosing Google’s applications in their consumer lives because the applications are really easy to use. This is important for change management. You may be fearful of making the transition to Google because it represents massive amounts of organizational change. It does, and we don’t want to undercut that. But we can reassure you that you, and the vast majority of the organization, are already familiar with Google tools from their lives outside of work.
3. Knowledge / Search
In a hybrid environment, users store information on their desktops or locally. With everything stored in the cloud, all users have access to company information at the right time, from any device, anywhere in the world. A recent study estimated that employees spend 20% of their time at work looking for but not finding the information they need to get their jobs done. That is like hiring five people and having one of them literally never show up to work. With Google Workspace, everything that you are meant to have access to is available at all times from anywhere.
4. Security
Because all data is stored in the cloud with Google Workspace, it is easy for IT admins to manage, administer, and secure that environment. Similarly, because everything takes place in a browser, there’s no need to push patches when updates are required. IT admins can rest assured that users are already always running the most up-to-date version of the software.
5. Transformational change
Of all the differentiation areas, transformational change is most important and unique. Many SaaS vendors will lay claim to mobility, communication, and positive culture change. Close to 70% of users whose organizations recently adopted Google Workspace report being happier at work after going to Google. You can imagine the downstream impacts for attracting talent, retaining talent, the productivity of that talent, organizational agility, etc.
When the CIO of Colgate-Palmolive announced the decision to go with Google, he received lovely thank you notes from his employees. There was so much enthusiasm and excitement about that decision.
